National Tiger Conservation Authority

The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) has been constituted under section 38 L (1) of Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. Further, as per the section 38 L, sub section 2 of the said Act, the authority consists of the Minister in charge of the Ministry of Environment & Forests (as Chairperson), the Minister of State in the Ministry of Environment & Forests (as Vice-Chairperson), three members of Parliament, Secretary, Ministry of Environment & Forests & other members. The authority derives its power from section 38 O (1) of WLPA, 1972 & functions under the guidance of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson & members.

Wildlife Institute of India

Established in 1982, Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an internationally acclaimed Institution, which offers training program, academic courses & advisory in wildlife research & management. In 1986, it was granted the status of an autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The Institute is actively engaged in research across the breadth of the country on biodiversity related issues. A large number of foresters & wildlife managers from other developing countries, particularly south & south-east Asia, have been trained in WII since its establishment. WII has given a new direction to the concept & practice of biodiversity conservation, made it more practical & realistic by seeking the involvement & cooperation of local people. The Institute’s idyllic campus that has been carefully developed to create state of the art infrastructure encourages scholarly work.

PARIVESH

PARIVESH is a web-based, role-based workflow application which has been developed for online submission and monitoring of the proposals submitted by the proponents for seeking Environment, Forest, Wildlife and CRZ Clearances from Central, State and district level authorities. It automates the entire tracking of proposals which includes online submission of a new proposal, editing/updating the details of proposals and displays status of the proposals at each stage of the workflow.

MoEFCC

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) is the nodal agency in the administrative structure of the Central Government for the planning, promotion, co-ordination and overseeing the implementation of India’s environmental and forestry policies and programmes.
